Marketing & Special Events Coordinator (Part-time)

Job Description
The Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce is looking for a part-time permanent marketing & special events coordinator. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and is 20 hours Monday to Friday with some evenings and weekends and with flexibility of schedules.
The Marketing & Special Events Coordinator will assist in the coordination and execution of all major events and marketing initiatives.
Position Overview:
Special Events:
  • Assist in coordinating, organizing and executing all major events
  • Manage suppliers, volunteers and attendees
  • Support in all regular events throughout the year
  • Assist in creating and executing strategic marketing plan
  • Maintain digital marketing platforms, such as social media and websites
  • Author content for all marketing channels
  • Manage weekly newsletter and monthly
  • Answering phone calls and assist in person inquiries
  • Sort and distribute mail and ensure timely and accurate dispatch of outgoing mail
  • Provide basic clerical support
  • Process payments
  • Prepare reports on events and marketing efforts
  • Engage positively with Cloverdale Chamber members at all opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Strong understanding of social media networks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Adobe Creative suite considered an asset
  • 1 – 2 year experience in marketing or event planning
Salary: $16.00/hour | 20 hours per week
