The event raises funds for Sources Women's Place\, a day program that free supports and services in a safe\, confidential and non-judgmental way to self-identifying women and their children.\n\nTHE CAUSE \n\nThe goal of In Her Shoes is to build a sustainable future for Sources Women's Place. The events of the past few years have brought to surface increased complexities and higher levels of adversity. More women are experiencing or are at risk of poverty. The impact of these external factors as well as continued gender-based violence is pushing women beyond their breaking point.\n\nLast year:\n\n\n Close to 3\,000 women visited Women's Place 3x more than in 2022\n Over 250 received individual counselling\n Close to 1\,000 received clothing 4x more than in 2023\n Women came to us from Surrey\, White Rock\, Langley and as far as New Westminster\; many live in their cars\n Demand for emergency food hampers and hygiene packages has increased as many don't have essential resources to get by\n Increase in street-entrenched women accessing our services\n\n\nYour participation in our events helps us continue serving individuals in the community.
