Ragtime + Jazz + Blues + Hillbilly = JUG BAND
Live outdoor music + The Surrey Museum + YOU = A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
Pack a picnic blanket or maybe your dancing shoes for Music at the Museum. Before jazz had a name and music pioneers had formal lessons, their creativity had them picking up washboards, jugs and anything they could get their hands on to make music.
Influencing the likes of Mick Jagger, Van Morrison and Ringo Starr, jug bands aren't in history books but in the sounds of the music we hear today.
Join us on the Surrey Museum lawns to hear the Genuine Jug Band, offering a narrated musical tour of songs and stories from the late 1800s to 1940 that the whole family will love. Learn more about them here: http://www.thegenuinejugband.com/main.html
