About Bryan Yu:
 
Bryan Yu heads a team of economists and analysts providing macro- and regional- economic research and analysis for Canadian credit unions to inform business decisions and strategy. He leads two business lines, C1’s Economic Centre, including their paid subscriber service, and the IFRS 9 SaaS National Platform.

With nearly two decades as a private sector economist, Bryan’s talent is dissecting and disseminating economic trends and numbers in easily digestible commentary and linking them to business operations. He is skilled at media relations and provides presentations that guide organizational strategy and decision- making. Bryan advises senior government officials and provincial finance ministers on the state of the economy. His research is regularly featured by various media groups including Globe and Mail, BNN, Bloomberg and BC Business and Bryan writes a weekly column for Business in Vancouver.

Currently Bryan serves on several strategic/governance boards in capacities such as Treasure, committee chair, and others. This includes S.U.C.C.E.S.S., the BC Paraplegic Foundation, the Canadian Association for Business Economics, and the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

Bryan has worked in government, trade associations, and financial services (as well as many years and long hours in a family owned small business), he understands organizational needs and how to apply economic trends to decision making.
